D. Cecilio Guillen has one of the best business paths and reputations in the whole of Almeria. His eagerness to develop the Almerian ryside has lead him, from a young age, to focus on Intensive Farming, helping it become one of the biggest forms of farming on an individual level within the province. In 1992, he bought the commercialisation warehouse Agromania, an old cooperative funded by farmers from his hometown of Las Marinas. Later, albeit on a small scale, he became one of the shareholders of AgrupaEjido, which at the time was growing rapidly and soon became the leader in its sector. In 1999, together with Yara, the biggest multinational company for fertilisers, he set up a Joint Venture for the commercialisation of their products in Spain through YaraAlboran and Yara Logistic Services. Since 2002, he has been working towards the international growth of the company by means of the Mexican firmAlmerimex. He has also been working on the development of new business they stand out; NeliaCosmeticaInternacional and real – estate group Las Marinas.
